Thursday Afternoon Bartlett Bacon Salad

Inspired by inexpensive Bartlett pears at the grocery today, and I decided I needed one for lunch. Needed. Plus bacon. I ALWAYS need bacon. So, I made this salad, like most of my dishes, without a recipe and on a whim. Enjoy!

  • 3 Slices slices bacon, cut into pieces and fried
  • 1 Bartlett Pear, chopped
  • 1 Ounce Gorgonzola, crumbled 28 g
  • 1/2 Head Baby Lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Heirloom Grape Tomatoes, halved 118 mL
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar 22 mL
  • 3 Tbsp Olive Oil 45 mL
  • 2 Tsp Honey 14 g
  1. Drain grease from fried bacon pieces

  2. Whisk dressing in bottom of salad bowl

  3. Add salad ingredients

  4. Toss

  5. Enjoy
